Stop the countdown as close to 0.000s as you dare. Don't run out of time!
Most stopwatch games test your reflexes as numbers count up. Just In Time reverses the tension: the clock counts down toward 0.000s. Stop the clock as close to zero as you dare without letting the buzzer catch you!
The rules are all about nerve, anticipation, and composure:
0.000s, the buzzer sounds and your attempt is completely out of time!
Stopping with 0.300s remaining is safe and easy. But waiting until there is only 0.020s left requires serious composure.
Just In Time tests your ability to resist the urge to tap early. Because it takes your brain about a quarter of a second to send a command to your finger, you cannot wait until the display shows 0.01s. You have to commit to your tap slightly ahead of time and trust your internal timing.

00:00.05 on screen, your finger will hit the switch after the clock hits zero. Initiate your movement when the timer passes roughly 0.20s.
Stopping with less than 0.050 seconds remaining puts you in the top 5% of players. Anything under 0.020 seconds is world-class.
If the countdown strikes 0.000s, the alarm sounds, the dial flashes red, and your run is counted as "Out of Time". You must reset and try again.

No, the clock counts down at a standard, precise 1-second pace. However, the tension and audio pulses make the final second feel much faster!
