How to Manage Heat Timing & Lane Assignments
Assign Lanes or Bib Numbers
Fill in the lane numbers (1 through 8) or participant bib numbers before the heat call so timers know exactly who they are watching.
Log Mid-Race Splits & Final Clock
Record intermediate 50m / 100m splits in column 3, and log the official finish time as athletes cross the tape or touch the touchpad.
Mark Finishing Order & Qualifiers
Record finishing rank (1st through 8th) and circle "Q" or note qualifying status for athletes advancing to finals or semi-finals.
